Progress in plastics starts with movement. We make it happen – See How
Supporting reshoring and nearshoring strategies globally
Rising tariffs and geopolitical uncertainty are pushing plastics OEMs and end users to reshore — whether from Asia to Europe or Europe to the US. With proven international relocation expertise and AIS Group partners across Europe, we make reshoring straightforward.
As your single point of contact, we manage the entire move: planning, decommissioning, reinstallation and commissioning. An integrated, end‑to‑end partnership reduces risk, simplifies delivery and ensures clear accountability from start to finish.
Moving forwards with machinery upgrades
Cobots, machine learning and advanced techniques like over‑moulding, insert moulding and 3D printing are boosting plastics productivity — cutting waste and speeding defect detection. The challenge is installing this new capability without costly downtime – even brief stoppages can hit the bottom line hard.
With over 50 years’ experience, we plan every machinery upgrade to minimise disruption. Safe, efficient decommissioning of existing equipment and seamless installation of new systems mean you see the benefits faster — with less commercial impact.
Working together towards a circular economy
Sustainability pressures are reshaping plastics. Demand for recycled and biodegradable materials is growing across automotive, healthcare, construction and electronics — yet scaling circular practices without disrupting production is a real challenge.
AIS Flegg Projects makes that transition seamless. We embed responsible recycling into every relocation and upgrade, use electric and LPG-powered lifting equipment to reduce onsite emissions, and back wider environmental initiatives through our EcoVadis and One Tree Planted partnerships. From day one, we plan machinery moves that advance your circular-economy goals — minimising disruption, protecting productivity and keeping progress commercially viable.

What does managing end-to-end machinery relocations look like?
Navigating the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations is a critical aspect of any industrial project. Our CDM & project management service ensures full compliance at every stage.
Decision to relocate, followed by AIS Flegg Projects audit of assets, on‑site surveys, and assessments to determine what should be moved, upgraded, or scrapped.
Development of lift plans, RAMS, milestones, deadlines, layouts, and mechanical/electrical requirements, ensuring the entire relocation project is engineered end‑to‑end.
Match marking, data and software extraction (where needed), detailed recording, and pre-move preparations to enable seamless disassembly and reassembly.
Full mechanical/electrical isolation and disassembly, rigging, lift-and-shift works, and removal or scrapping of machinery as required.
Management of transport, storage, packing lists, movement orders, and import/export duties to ensure safe, compliant international relocation.
Reassembly, rigging, alignment, commissioning, documentation (OEM manuals, test certificates), and post-project support as needed.
