Temporary relocation of OEM machinery required for educational use
KraussMaffei, a well-known OEM within the plastics sector, actively supports universities, colleges, and specialist plastics training programmes by providing injection moulding machines for onsite educational use. As such, they required the relocation of an injection moulding machine from their site in Warrington to a training facility in Telford, to support hands-on learning for students.
While logistically less complex than other relocations, the move still required careful planning, the correct lifting solution and experienced personnel to ensure the machine was delivered and positioned safely and efficiently.
AIS Solution: Moving an injection moulding machine with confidence
We delivered the relocation of the injection moulding machine within a single day. Although, moving machines always comes with its own unique challenges, for us this was an ‘every day’ routine operation, reflecting the depth of experience our team brings to machinery moves of all sizes.
Our experienced engineers were behind the strategy for the lifting plans and used a HIAB crane mounted on one of our articulated vehicles for loading and unloading, as well as machinery skates for controlled internal movement.
Our team focused on safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the project, maintaining the high standards expected by a global OEM and ensuring the machine arrived in pristine condition so that it would be operational for student use. This streamlined machine relocation demonstrates that we apply the same level of professionalism and technical expertise to straightforward OEM machinery moves as we do to complex, multi‑phase projects, regardless of scale.
