Our local heritage

With our strong local heritage in Standish, Ainscough Industrial Services are proud to join forces with fellow Standish based business, Crowdguard, to give back to the community that helped shaped them. Our shared values underpin our joint commitment to supporting the wonderful community we are proud to be a part of.

PART OF OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Together, we are not just corporate entities, but we are part of our local community in Standish. Supporting local events, such as being sponsors of the Standish Christmas Markets, is important to both AIS and Crowdguard, and these sponsorships help allow these events to continue year after year. In addition, donations to the Christmas Markets also help fund the Standish Voice, a powerful local initiative run by local residents who work hard to ensure that Standish remains a great place to live and work.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITIES

Even closer to our hearts at AIS is the Wigan Youth Zone, which we are a founder patron of. Together with Crowdguard, we have supported this charity over the years in their mission to empower and inspire the next generation to reach their full potential.

CEO of Wigan Youth Zone, Anthony Ashworth-Steen comments, “Wigan Youth Zone has tremendous gratitude to AIS and Crowdguard for their generous support throughout our twelve-year journey. Their commitment – through both financial contributions and volunteer efforts—has helped us reach over 35,000 young people, boosting confidence, improving health, and raising aspirations across our community. Every £1 invested in Wigan Youth Zone creates £15 in social value, meaning AIS and Crowdguard’s support has generated at least £3.5 million for Wigan Borough. We’re a founding patron and steadfast supporter of Wigan Youth Zone. This fantastic organisation provides invaluable opportunities and support for young people in the Wigan area, offering a safe and inspiring environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

We’re also regular contributors to Macmillan Cancer Support. Our teams actively participate in the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning events, raising vital funds to help Macmillan provide essential support to people affected by cancer and their families.

Children in Need, the BBC’s annual televised charity appeal, has been around since 1980. Weird and wacky fundraising activities become the norm as employees strive to help this fantastic organisation support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK, so they get the opportunities they deserve.

In the past, our teams have also come together during the festive season to organise Christmas gift donations for children who might otherwise not receive a present. This initiative reflects our commitment to bringing joy and support to those in need within our local communities.
